David Bottoms, Principal
David has more than seventeen years’ experience in the ancillary benefits market having served for seven years as an employee benefit consultant with Unum. In this role, David served as a resource to brokers and consultants for group disability, group life, and absence management strategies. David is adept at optimizing ancillary benefit plan design to accomplish employer objectives, provide needed financial protection for employees, and ensure long-term plan stability. Further, he has a deep understanding of contractual features, the claims management process, and the importance of integrating disability plans with a well-coordinated absence management strategy. This skill and understanding allows David to provide unique value to TBX clients as they work to reduce the aggregate expense associated with ancillary benefit premium and claims costs, the productivity costs associated with absenteeism, and medical claim costs which can be reduced via effective return to work approaches.
